| WHY |
|
On June 13, 2007 the first version of MDGames was published. At that time we've had few visitors, which in time they grew. So because of June 13, 2008 is around the corner I have decided to organize a competition.
The competition is called, as you already know, which is why you are here, "WALLPAPER Creation". The next competition will be about games (something like MasterDOOM Games - BEST Gamer), but enough about this. Let me focus on the first competition.
Guidelines
- sign up below to participate at the WALLPAPER Creation Competition;
- activate your participation at WALLPAPER Creation Competition (check your email and follow the link we've provided; it's a must, otherwise you will loose the right to participate);
- Themes: CyE CORP. wallpapers, MDGames wallpapers or anything that you want (you can create any wallpaper with any theme, but if you use "CyE CORP." or "MDGames" it's a plus, to have an idea see 'Wallpapers' on downloads section);
- Type and Size: .jpeg/.jpg and 1024x768 (not smaller, not bigger);
- Wallpaper File Name: nickname_wallpaperName_1024x768.jpg;
- nickname - your nickname (nickname that you will choose on the sign up process);
- wallpaperName - some name to describe your wallpaper.
- Send your wallpapers to this email address: MasterDOOMGames [i am AT] gmail [got DOTs ?] com (I will put them then on the voting system);
- Follow the rules.
Calendar (May 13 - June 12) (We follow the GMT+2)
- May 13 - May 19 = Sign Up Process (we allow one week for people to sign up, so if you know somebody, spread the word);
- May 20 - May 29 = Wallpapers have to be created and then sent to this mail: MasterDOOMGames [i am AT] gmail [got DOTs ?] com (we allow 10 days for people to create and send the wallpapers, we do not consider mails received after MAY 29);
- May 30 - June 8 = People will vote the wallpapers (we allow 10 days for people to cast their vote, so vote until June 9);
- May 9 = reserved for Wallpaper Fight (only if there is a tie);
- June 10 - June 12 = CyE and MasterDOOM will choose the best top 3 wallpapers.
Voting System
We allow 10 days for people to vote on the wallpapers. To vote = to grade a wallpaper from 1 to 10, ONLY ONCE. Every time the resulting grade will be the average between the first voter and the second one, and so one. The formula is $average = ($average + $grade) / 2. (meaning do not vote more than one time and you can vote ONLY ONE wallpaper).
Top 3 wallpapers chosen by voters will be granted with bonus "points" (BP), as follows:
- < 10 votes = 1 BP casted from CyE and 1 from MasterDOOM;
- < 100 votes = 10 BP;
- < 1000 votes = 100 BP;
- < 10000 votes = 1000 BP;
- < 100000 votes = 10000 BP;
Most Important (hope it does not come to this), if there is a tie, we proceed as follows:
"Wallpaper Fight"
- May 9, one day to create a wallpaper (a second one) and to send in the same day. (be the best and be fast or BEST & FAST)
Jury
- Voters (first phase);
- CyE (second phase);
- MasterDOOM (second phase).

- Present ONLY ONE of your creation. (meaning if you have more than one, choose only one to present)
- NO cheating. (meaning you will be disqualified)
- Anyone can participate, only the best top 3 will win. (based on a voting system)
- Watermark your wallpaper. (your wallpaper must be signed)
- Respect the calendar.
